comparative study made by Supertrax magazine for the 2004 season - The
Supertrax Top Ten - put Lanaudière in first place among all snowmobiling
regions in North America. The study awarded 1 to 5 stars in each of
the following categories: Trails (total miles, grooming,
bridges, safety, signage, traffic); Location (driving distance from
major population centres); Amenities (number of high-quality
accommodations, restaurants, fuel and repair shops, snowmobile staging
and truck parking); Features (scenery, view from the
trails, mountain play areas, specialty sites, special annual events);
Support (acceptance of snowmobiling by community, clubs,
law enforcement and government).
